This feature film unravels a true-life mystery involving the sacred mountain of Nanda Devi, lost plutonium, and an ill-fated secret CIA mission that trained some of America’s best climbers to spy on China during the height of the Cold War. For one climber, the mission represented the chance of a lifetime, a journey of remarkable climbing accomplishment and transcendence. But it was also the beginning of four decades of secrecy that ultimately cost him his family, his health and his faith in the government he sacrificed everything to serve.
